The name "Camrose" derives from the Webb-Bowens' family home Camrose House in Camrose, Pembrokeshire.
Dinah and Robert Webb-Bowen have been involved with horses for over 40 years.
Today, Dinah's passion is breeding, producing and showing coloured and solid warmblood sport horses. She has had many successes at County and National levels. We are now truly "International" with two home-bred mares being sold to different studs in South Africa and a colt being sold to Australia who went on and licensed with the Australian Warmblood Society.
An athlete 'sporting colour' is our ultimate aim. However, first and foremost we are dedicated to breeding and producing the ultimate sport horse whatever the colour. By using top class performance stallions with proven bloodlines on quality graded mares, we hope to produce the ultimate performance horse. A foal 'sporting colour' is just an added bonus!
Another ambition yet to be fulfilled is to breed a winner under National Hunt Rules. For the time being, having the good fortune to own winners will have to do and it does!
Robert, who rode successfully as an Amateur jockey both under Rules and in Point-to-Points, has now turned his hand to training jumpers and is a Permit Holder. As with every trainer, he dreams of a Cheltenham Festival winner whilst playing a full part in the management and operation of Camrose Stud. He also stewards at point-to-points and on the racecourse.
